It’s time for my annual posting of this video. It is so much better than the upcoming 50 Shades of Meh film will ever be.
Alan Moore cosplaying Odin
When I search Google for this image, it appears to actually be Hans Staininger.
Hans Staininger was elected six times to the town of Braunau am Inn, Captain. His beard was three cubits (about two meters) long, although it is said he had it cut six times. According to legend, he had a fire in the city forgot to roll up his beard and put it in his breast pocket, as he was used to. Therefore, he was tripped and fallen down the stairs. He had broken his neck. However, his cause of death has not been established. After his death, the beard was removed, and he took as a family relic . 1911, the beard was passed on to the town of Braunau and is now in the Museum District(Herzogsburg) to see (authenticity chemically and microscopically proven).
Thank you, kellylugosisdead, for doing the research! It is still a fantastic photo, even if it ISN’T Mr. Moore cosplaying Odin.
Episode 2 of NBCs Dracula. The show feels more like Downey’s Sherlock Holmes than Stoker’s Dracula. I am not fond of Jonathan Rhys Meyers speaking in ‘mercan accent. Mostly because I love hearing him with his Irish one. Other than that it is fun like the Tudors: full of cheese, historical inaccuracies and lush costumes. Since I am watching it for JRM and blood inclusive erotica it delivers what I want it to. Bonus that Mina is a strong character and not some whisp of a girl both physically and psychologically.
