JJ Abrams gained control of the Star Wars franchise while Star Trek: Into Darkness was still in production. Apparently this led to a bit of a dustup at the shooting location in San Francisco.

When I was an actor at Faires in Northern California watching Hahbi Ru perform was one of my downtime pleasures. Their performances were among my early inspirations to start dancing. They were absolutely my first tribal genre love. This video was the first I heard of John Compton’s passing. RIP John. I will always remember how you turned out your performance at Bodega Bay Faire.

The fact that someone took the time to make this makes me feel all giddy and warm about aspects of humanity.
Kirsty Mitchell’s late mother Maureen was an English teacher who spent her life inspiring generations of children with imaginative stories and plays. Following Maureen’s death from a brain tumour in 2008, Kirsty channelled her grief into her passion for photography.
She retreated behind the lens of her camera and created Wonderland, an ethereal fantasy world. The photographic series began as a small summer project but grew into an inspirational creative journey.
‘Real life became a difficult place to deal with, and I found myself retreating further into an alternative existence through the portal of my camera,’ said the artist. (read the rest here).
